PetroChina Reports 22% Increase in Third-Quarter Net Profit

PetroChina reported third-quarter 2026 net profit of 51.84 billion yuan, up 22% from 42.65 billion yuan a year earlier, while revenue increased 10% to 793.57 billion yuan. The company attributed profit growth to higher oil prices; its average realized crude price rose 18.5% to $77.65 per barrel in the first three quarters. Overseas oil and gas equivalent production fell 10% year over year, which PetroChina attributed to geopolitical factors.
