Applied Optoelectronics Obtains New $71M Order For 800G Single-Mode Data Center Transceivers From One Of Its Major Hyperscale Customers

Applied Optoelectronics Inc. (NASDAQ: AAOI) has secured a $71 million order for 800G single-mode data center transceivers from a major hyperscale customer, bringing total orders from this customer to $124 million since mid-March. This new order will more than double the existing backlog from the customer. The company expects to start delivering the initial order of over $53 million in the second quarter and complete deliveries for both orders by the end of the year.
