Alcon Acquires Neurotech Pharmaceuticals For $550M

Alcon has acquired Neurotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for $550 million, enhancing its retina portfolio with the FDA-approved treatment ENCELTO for a rare retinal disease. ENCELTO is the first approved therapy for adults with idiopathic Macular Telangiectasia Type 2, which previously had no treatment options. The acquisition may involve additional contingent payments based on commercial milestones.
