Alector Teams Up With Genentech On Potential Parkinson’s Treatment

Alector, Inc. has entered into an exclusive global licensing agreement with Genentech, granting Genentech worldwide rights to develop and commercialize Alector’s AL050 program, aimed at treating GCase deficiency associated with Parkinson’s Disease. AL050 combines an engineered glucocerebrosidase (GCase) with a transport mechanism designed to deliver the enzyme across the blood-brain barrier, potentially reducing neurodegeneration. This collaboration marks a significant strategic partnership for Alector in the biotechnology sector.
