Arm's New AGI CPU Turns It From Licensing Story Into A Chip Seller—With Meta As The First Big Test

Arm Holdings PLC (NASDAQ: ARM) has launched its first in-house AGI CPU, significantly expanding its total addressable market (TAM) by approximately 40 times from fiscal 2026 to 2031, with projected chip revenue reaching $15 billion by fiscal 2031. The lead customer for this new CPU is Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ: META), and the company anticipates chip revenue of around $1 billion in fiscal 2027, increasing to $2 billion in fiscal 2029. Following the announcement, ARM shares rose 20.14% to $162.13.
