Anavex Life Sciences Receives FDA Clearance to Proceed Ahead With Its Planned Clinical Trial Under Its Investigational New Drug Application For ANAVEX For Fragile X Syndrome

Anavex Life Sciences Corp. has received FDA clearance to proceed with its clinical trial for ANAVEX®2-73 (blarcamesine) targeting Fragile X syndrome, a genetic condition with no existing FDA-approved treatments. The Investigational New Drug Application (IND) is now open, allowing for clinical investigation in the U.S. Blarcamesine has previously been granted Orphan Drug Designation by the FDA for this indication.
