Anavex Life Sciences Receives FDA Clearance to Proceed Ahead With Its Planned Clinical Trial Under Its Investigational New Drug Application For ANAVEX For Fragile X Syndrome

Anavex Life Sciences Corp. has received FDA clearance to proceed with its clinical trial for ANAVEX®2-73 (blarcamesine) under its Investigational New Drug Application for Fragile X syndrome, a genetic condition with no FDA-approved treatment. The IND is now open, allowing for clinical investigation in the U.S. Blarcamesine has also received Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for this condition.
