Bausch + Lomb Announces 24-Month Results From Pivotal US Trial of ELIOS System For Elevated Intraocular Pressure In Open Angle Glaucoma Patients, Meeting Primary Effectiveness Endpoints

Bausch + Lomb announced positive 24-month results from a pivotal US trial of its ELIOS system for treating elevated intraocular pressure in open-angle glaucoma patients. The study, involving 318 patients, showed that 76% achieved at least a 20% reduction in unmedicated diurnal IOP, with an average decrease of 7.4 mmHg. Additionally, 82% of patients were medication-free at 23 months, and no intraoperative complications were reported during the procedure. These results will be discussed in a webinar and submitted for publication in a medical journal.
