Bitcoin Eyes $150K, Ethereum To Top $3K? Tom Lee Says Crypto’s Biggest Bull Market May Be Underway

Fundstrat’s Tom Lee expects Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) to maintain a $150,000 target while arguing Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) could eventually reach $60,000 as tokenization, Wall Street adoption and AI bring a much larger pool of investors into digital assets. Why Lee Calls It Bigger Bull Market In a "Money Talks" interview on Sept. 24, Lee noted that past cycles were largely driven by specific crypto-native themes: initial coin offerings in 2017, NFTs and meme coins during the pandemic-era boom, and, more recently, stablecoins. This time, Lee sees a much broader combination of catalysts. Tokenization is accelerating, Regulatory backdrop has become more crypto-supportive, and Financial institutions are increasingly exploring blockchain infrastructure. AI and autonomous agents could create another source of demand for crypto-based payments and settlement. Long periods of price consolidation across crypto also strengthen his bullish outlook. Some assets have spent roughly five years trading within broad ranges, which Lee believes could ultimately produce decisive breakouts. Ethereum’s Eventual $60,000, Bitcoin’s $150,000 Lee has maintained his $150,000 Bitcoin target, even as it consolidates after its latest rally. After peaking at $87,000 during a two-week rally, Bitcoin traded largely flat through Sep. 24 and is now hovering around $85,000. Ethereum could offer even greater upside if institutional adoption of blockchain technology continues, Lee said. He highlighted Ethereum’s roughly five-year consolidation and compared its current setup with the breakout that followed the 2018 bear market, which eventually produced an approximately 17-fold rally. He advocates that ETH could multiply 10x to 12x above its prior highs of $5,000, placing it at around $60,000 in a couple of years. In the shorter term, Lee sees $3,000 as a reasonable target and expects ETH to eventually move well above its previous highs and peak to an all-time high this year. Digital assets tend to generate a disproportionate amount of their gains during a handful of sharp rallies, which Lee describes through his "rule of 10 best days." His broader thesis rests on crypto becoming increasingly integrated with TradFi rather than simply attracting another wave of speculative traders. "I think we’re early," Lee said.
