DLH Clinches $19.1 Million NIH Cybersecurity Deal

DLH Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ) said Monday it secured a new cybersecurity task order worth up to $19.1 million from the National Institutes of Health. The contract will support the NIH Center for Information Technology, which manages secure IT infrastructure for the agency’s research operations. New Three-Year NIH Contract The task order represents new work for DLH. It includes a base period and multiple options covering up to three years. DLH will work with other technology service providers to deliver the contract. The company will provide risk management framework and cybersecurity operations support across the NIH enterprise. It will also cover security architecture, privacy, compliance, training and program management. The services will help NIH meet federal cybersecurity requirements. They will also support the agency’s efforts in zero-trust security, cloud modernization and automation. In addition, the contract will support NIH’s responsible use of artificial intelligence. DLH Expands NIH Work DLH President and CEO Kathryn JohnBull said the award expands the company’s work with NIH as the agency strengthens cybersecurity resilience, reduces operational risks and works to maintain continuity. JohnBull added that the contract supports DLH’s strategy of expanding technology-driven solutions across its core markets. DLH provides digital, engineering, cybersecurity and scientific services to federal customers. Its offerings include artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, cloud applications and telehealth systems. The latest award follows another federal health IT contract announced Sept. 16. DLH secured a follow-on task order worth up to $43.7 million from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. The micro-cap company had a market capitalization of nearly $51 million at Friday’s close.
