Ecolab Strikes ~$4.75B Deal To Acquire CoolIT Systems

Ecolab has announced a definitive agreement to acquire CoolIT Systems for approximately $4.75 billion in cash, which is expected to close soon. CoolIT, a leader in liquid cooling technology, is projected to generate around $550 million in sales over the next year. This acquisition is anticipated to enhance Ecolab's Global High-Tech growth engine and increase its organic sales growth rates by 2% for Global Water and 1% overall. The deal values CoolIT at 29x and 24x its estimated next 12-month and 2027 adjusted EBITDA, respectively.
