Cathie Wood's ARK Invest Tokenizes Venture Fund on Ethereum Highlighting Potential for Tokenization

ARK Invest, led by Cathie Wood, is taking its venture strategy on chain, tokenizing the ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) through Securitize Corp. (NYSE:SECZ) amidst asset managers increasingly embracing blockchain-based financial infrastructure. ARK Venture Fund Goes On chain ARK Invest and Securitize on Thursday announced the tokenization of ARKVX, an actively managed closed-end interval fund investing across private and public companies tied to disruptive innovation. The fund’s portfolio includes exposure to some of the biggest names in private technology, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe and Databricks, though its holdings are subject to change. Eligible investors accessing ARKVX through Securitize will be able to gain exposure to the portfolio using blockchain-based infrastructure. The tokenized fund will initially launch on Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), with Securitize providing infrastructure for on-chain issuance and the investor experience. “Tokenizing the ARK Venture Fund puts our conviction in the evolution, if not revolution, of capital markets into practice,” Wood said. She added that ARK’s research suggests tokenization could fundamentally reshape how investors access and participate in private and public financial markets. ARK, Securitize Deepen Tokenization Push The launch expands a partnership between ARK and Securitize that gained momentum after ARK made a strategic investment in the tokenization company in October 2025. The companies said the investment was aimed at accelerating institutional adoption of tokenized securities, expanding access to regulated investment products and strengthening capital-markets infrastructure. Carlos Domingo, co-founder and CEO of Securitize, said bringing ARKVX on chain demonstrates how established asset managers can move traditional investment products onto blockchain-based infrastructure. The Ethereum launch adds another institutional investment product to the growing real-world asset and tokenized-securities ecosystem as traditional asset managers explore blockchain rails for issuance, ownership and distribution.
