Vir Biotechnology Announces Collaboration, License Agreement With Gilead To Discover, Engineer Three PRO-XTEN Dual-Masked T-Cell Engager Development Candidates Targeting Selected Solid Tumor-Associated Antigens

Vir Biotechnology, Inc. has announced a collaboration and license agreement with Gilead to develop three novel PRO-XTEN dual-masked T-cell engagers targeting solid tumor-associated antigens. Under the agreement, Vir will receive $90 million upfront, including $65 million in cash and a $25 million equity investment, plus up to $135 million in preclinical milestone payments. Additionally, Vir could earn up to $1.74 billion in further milestones and royalties on net sales. This collaboration leverages Vir's expertise in T-cell engager discovery and Gilead's oncology development capabilities.
