Granite (NYSE: GVA) announced that its joint venture with Super Excavators has been awarded a $324.8 million contract by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District for the Big Creek Tunnel project in Cleveland, Ohio. This project is part of the $3 billion Project Clean Lake initiative aimed at improving water quality in the region. Granite's work will involve constructing 22,300 linear feet of large-diameter tunnel and various ancillary tunnels, with the project expected to significantly reduce combined sewer releases by 550 million gallons annually.
