U.S. Army Selects Ameresco Project Featuring Terrestrial Energy’s Advanced Nuclear Technology Projects In Maryland And New Jersey

The U.S. Army has selected Ameresco Inc. to develop a power plant project at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, utilizing Terrestrial Energy's advanced nuclear technology. This initiative is part of the Army's Strategic Capital Initiatives and aims to enhance electric power resiliency while providing commercial power generation capacity. Terrestrial Energy will supply its Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) Plant design for the project, which combines natural gas and advanced nuclear generation. This announcement follows a memorandum of understanding between Terrestrial Energy and Ameresco established in June 2025.
