Itron, Pacific Gas And Electric Collaborating On Advanced Fault Prevention, Fault Location Technologies For Identification, Location And Classification Of Grid Conditions

Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) are collaborating to enhance wildfire risk prevention through advanced fault location technologies. This partnership aims to improve the identification and classification of grid conditions that could lead to wildfires, with plans to deploy thousands of Itron's grid edge sensing endpoints in high fire-risk areas. The collaboration builds on a successful proof-of-concept and is progressing to a scaled pilot phase.
