LENSAR Agrees To Terminate Merger Agreement With Alcon Research

LENSAR, Inc. has agreed to terminate its merger agreement with Alcon Research due to anticipated regulatory challenges from the Federal Trade Commission. Both companies concluded that the necessary U.S. regulatory approvals would not be obtained by the merger's deadline of April 23, 2026, or the extended date of July 23, 2026. As part of the termination, LENSAR will retain a $10 million deposit associated with the agreement.
