Medtronic Receives American Medical Association Approval For Category I Current Procedural Terminology Codes For Two Its Technologies

Medtronic plc (NYSE: MDT) has received approval from the American Medical Association for new Category I Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for two of its technologies: the Altaviva implantable tibial neuromodulation device and the Symplicity Spyral renal denervation system. These new codes, which will replace existing Category III codes, are set to take effect in January 2028 and represent significant long-term growth opportunities for the company.
