3M (NYSE: MMM) has announced a collaboration with Genius Electronic Optical Co., Ltd. (GSEO) to enhance technology development and manufacturing for its Expanded Beam Optical (EBO) solutions. As part of this initiative, 3M plans to strategically invest in GSEO by acquiring approximately 4.7% of the company's common shares through a private placement of newly issued shares, pending customary closing conditions.
