Nexans Selected as Preferred Supplier for Mallorca-Menorca Interconnection Project

Nexans has been chosen by Red Eléctrica, a subsidiary of Redeia, as the preferred supplier for the Mallorca-Menorca 3 interconnection project, aimed at enhancing the electricity supply security in the Balearic Islands. The agreement marks the start of a six-month engineering phase for a new 132 kV high-voltage alternating current subsea cable link, leading to a future Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) contract.
