Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. has secured a senior project debt commitment letter for US$335 million from Export Development Canada and the Canada Infrastructure Bank to support the construction and development of the Phase-2 Matawinie Mine. This financing is structured with competitive rates and flexible repayment terms, and it is backed by long-term offtake agreements, with 75% of future production designated for the Government of Canada, Panasonic Energy, and Traxys. The project has been substantially de-risked and is recognized as a major project of national interest by the Government of Canada.
