NRx Pharma’s NRx Defense Systems Announces Award Of Initial $11M Contract Issued By Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

NRx Defense Systems, a subsidiary of NRx Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: NRXP), has been awarded an initial contract worth $11,177,757.27 by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for its SPARC-TMS trial. This trial aims to evaluate a treatment protocol for Treatment Resistant Depression using Robotic Neuronavigated Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) combined with the investigational drug NRX-101. The trial has received FDA approval and will be conducted at several institutions, including Harvard Medical School’s McLean Hospital and Arizona State University, with plans to expand to military hospitals.
