Navitas Stock Extends Gains After Army Selects It for SiC Power Chip Development

Navitas Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:NVTS) shares are trading higher on possible continued momentum Tuesday after the company announced late Monday that it was selected by the U.S. Army to develop next-generation 10 kV silicon carbide power semiconductor technology. Navitas Awarded U.S. Army ALATTIS Program For 10 kV SiC Technology Navitas said it was awarded the ALATTIS (Accelerated, Large-Area, 10 kV SiC IGBT) program following a competitive evaluation among leading U.S. silicon carbide technology companies, with the Army citing Navitas’ leadership in ultra-high-voltage SiC innovation and its U.S.-anchored manufacturing ecosystem. The prototype project, sponsored by the Army Research Laboratory under the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command and supported by the Joint Experimentation and Technology Accelerator, aims to develop and validate a novel domestic manufacturing process for 10 kV silicon carbide insulated-gate bipolar transistors and associated PiN diode technologies for mission-critical defense systems.
