Palladyne AI Wins US Navy Contract To Develop High-Speed, Low-Cost Missile

Palladyne AI Corp. (NASDAQ: PDYN) has secured a contract from the U.S. Navy to develop the Air-Launched Rapid Response Missile (ALRRM), which aims to achieve near hypersonic speeds and long-range capabilities at a lower cost than existing hypersonic weapons. The missile is designed to exceed 350 nautical miles in flight distance and maintain a cruise speed beyond Mach 4.0, while carrying a 150 lb warhead using an air-breathing solid fuel ramjet. This initiative aligns with the Department of War's focus on affordability and capability.
