Phathom Pharmaceuticals Initiates Registrational Phase 3 Study Of VOQUEZNA For As-Needed Treatment Of Non-Erosive GERD

Phathom Pharmaceuticals has initiated a registrational Phase 3 study of VOQUEZNA (vonoprazan) for as-needed treatment of Non-Erosive Reflux Disease (NERD), following positive Phase 2 data. The study, named pHalcon-NERD-302, aims to support a potential label expansion for VOQUEZNA to treat heartburn episodes in patients with Non-Erosive GERD, a regimen not currently approved for proton pump inhibitors in the U.S. Topline results from the study are expected in the first quarter of 2028.
