Power Integrations And Ideal Power Collaborate To Deliver Solid-State Circuit Breaker Solution Providing Efficient, Always-On Protection For 800 VDC AI Data Centers

Power Integrations (NASDAQ: POWI) and Ideal Power Inc. (NASDAQ: IPWR) have announced a collaboration to develop a solid-state circuit breaker (SSCB) solution aimed at enhancing protection and power conversion for 800 VDC AI data centers. The partnership will integrate Power Integrations' 1700 V InnoMux-2 power conversion integrated circuits with Ideal Power's B-TRAN® switches to create a self-powered, intelligent SSCB. A working prototype has already been demonstrated, and the companies are currently developing a reference design.
