Roche's phase III IMAgINATION study of sefaxersen has shown statistically significant reductions in proteinuria compared to placebo at 37 weeks, indicating its potential as a best-in-class treatment for IgA nephropathy (IgAN). Sefaxersen works by inhibiting complement factor B production in the liver, addressing a key factor in kidney damage associated with IgAN.
