EQT Corporation Announces Definitive Agreement to Acquire Range Resources Corporation

EQT Corporation and Range Resources Corporation announced a definitive all-stock merger agreement on October 26, 2026. Range shareholders will receive 0.987 EQT shares for each Range share, and the deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals. After closing, two Range representatives will join EQT’s board; the companies say the combination is intended to create a leading U.S. natural gas producer.
