Signet Jewelers Ltd (NYSE: SIG) shares rose 11.8% to $88.07 on Thursday after reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings of $6.25 per share, surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $6.11. The company's quarterly sales also exceeded expectations at $2.345 billion, beating the consensus of $2.342 billion. Overall, U.S. stocks were lower, with the Dow Jones index falling around 150 points.
