Symbotic Makes Another Robotics Power Play With German Automation Acquisition

Symbotic Inc. (NASDAQ:SYM) announced Tuesday that it has acquired Germany-based automation company cellumation GmbH, expanding its AI-powered warehouse robotics capabilities and strengthening its presence in Europe.The acquisition adds cellumation’s patented celluveyor technology to Symbotic’s portfolio. The software-driven system aims to improve warehouse efficiency, increase processing capacity and reduce space requirements.Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.AI-Powered Technology Could Cut Warehouse CostsCellumation’s celluveyor platform uses hundreds of independently controlled cells that move products in any direction.
