Trump Administration Confirms Tesla Will Build $4.3 Billion Battery Plant In Michigan With LG Energy

The Trump Administration's Department of the Interior has confirmed a $4.3 billion deal between Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) and LG Energy Solutions to build a battery plant in Lansing, Michigan, set to begin production in 2027. This agreement is part of a larger initiative involving $56 billion in private sector commitments aimed at creating jobs and securing energy supply chains. Tesla has also recently signed a $2 billion agreement with Samsung SDI and achieved record deployments of 14.2 gigawatt-hours of batteries in Q4 2025.
