Ross Gerber Says SPCX-TSLA Merger Has 'Become Obvious' After Roadster Reveal, Calls Thruster Tech 'For Show'

Investor Ross Gerber thinks that a merger between Elon Musk-led enterprises Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) and Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) may be a foregone conclusion following the Tesla Roadster debut. Ross Gerber Says SpaceX Buys Tesla In a series of posts on the social media platform X on Thursday, the investor shared his take on the Roadster launch event. “So spaceX buys tesla this year,” the investor said, adding that the merger “has become obvious” following the Roadster’s reveal. Gerber, during an exclusive conversation with Benzinga, had predicted that the Roadster would be a limited-run model. Wonder what this is going to cost… tesla roadster $TSLA— Ross Gerber (@GerberKawasaki) October 16, 2026 Elon Musk Says Flying Cars Are Real Musk, following the Roadster’s reveal, shared a video on the social media platform X, showing the Roadster doing a barrel roll mid-air as it jumped over a row of Tesla vehicles, saying that flying cars were now real. Tesla also revealed key information about the vehicle, which will be available in three trim levels: the base Performance trim, which requires a $50,000 reservation; the limited-run Thrust trim, which will offer under-1-second 0-60 times and the range-topping Rocket trim, which is an invite-only, non-road-legal vehicle that can fly.
