VEON To Acquire 100% Of Uzbekistan Mobile Operator Rubicon Wireless, Trading Under 'Perfectum' Brand, For $207M

VEON has announced its acquisition of 100% of Uzbekistan mobile operator Rubicon Wireless, trading under the 'Perfectum' brand, for approximately $207 million, which includes $93 million of Perfectum's outstanding financial debt. This acquisition will enhance VEON's operations in Uzbekistan by expanding its spectrum portfolio and improving network capabilities, particularly for 4G/LTE and future 5G services. The deal is expected to increase Beeline Uzbekistan's spectrum holdings by about 50% and generate synergies through integration with existing networks.
