Vogenx Initiates EMERGE, Phase 2b Clinical Trial Evaluating Mizagliflozin For Treatment Of Post-Bariatric Hypoglycemia

Vogenx, Inc. (NASDAQ: VOGX) has initiated the EMERGE Phase 2b clinical trial to evaluate mizagliflozin for treating post-bariatric hypoglycemia (PBH), a condition with no FDA-approved therapies. The trial will enroll about 36 adults who have undergone bariatric surgery and will assess the drug's safety, tolerability, and effectiveness in reducing hypoglycemic events. Participants will receive either 5 mg or 10 mg of mizagliflozin or a placebo over 28 days, with continuous glucose monitoring throughout the study.
