Xenon Pharmaceuticals, Steel Dynamics, Nucor And Other Big Stocks Moving Lower In Friday’s Pre-Market Session

Xenon Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:XENE) shares fell 27.6% to $41.51 in pre-market trading following the company's announcement of a temporary pause in enrollment for new patients in its psychiatry studies due to neuropsychiatric adverse events. Other notable declines included Steel Dynamics (NASDAQ:STLD), which dropped 4.5% to $234.42, despite projecting a third-quarter EPS increase to $5.34-$5.38 from $3.69 in the previous quarter. Nucor Corp (NYSE:NUE) also saw a decline of 3.1% to $257.00, while forecasting third-quarter earnings of $5.55 to $5.65 per diluted share, up from $2.63 a year ago.
